Kailash Mansarovar Yatra Visa & Passport
Visa is compulsory for Kailash mansarovar yatra, because it is in Tibet ( Autonomous Region of China). Since Tibet is sensitive region of china so special permit called Tibet Travel Permit ( TTB) is required . if you have Chinese visa then that is useless without Tibet Travel Permit ( TTB). Since china Promotes group tour in Tibet so Group visa/Paper based Visa is issued ,which is not fixed into the passport , it is just like a plain paper. Group visa will be carried by group leader , you can ask for Xerox in Kathmandu also. To get visa, passport validity should be of 6 months left. For Tibet Travel Permit generally 15- 20 days are taken to approve( but days are not fixed, it is decided by Chinese authority). After approving Tibet Travel Permit, your passport will be sent back (for Indian citizens) and for Foreign Nationals we need only colour copy of Passport for Tibet Travel Permit approval and original after arrival at Kathmandu. Final Group visa will be issued by Chinese authority 15 days before departure.
Whatever be the process to get visa, please don’t worry we will handle, only thing you need to provide is 6 months minimum validity left of your passport.
Note- If you early return from Tibet , than all the extra charges including visa splitting charge, and transport ( if any), Accommodation ( if any) will have to pay by you. Since visa is based on group so all persons need to enter & Exit at one time In & From Tibet.
